Pahlish Dark Parades

Hello hello! Today I've got a super pretty polish to show you - Pahlish Dark Parades!

Pahlish Dark Parade just reminds me of a darker, more sinister party mix of glitters. Normally you'd expect to find such a combination of glitters in a fun, bright coloured base but this sexy shade of deeper purple just does it for me! It's like a grown up version of a glitter polish!

This is two coats of Pahlish Dark Parades over OPI Road House Blues on my index, middle and pinkie, and four thin coats of Dark Parades by itself on my ring finger.

Road House Blues was such a perfect base for Dark Parades. I didn't wanna paint it over black so I went hunting in my Helmer for a nice plurple base.

This is two coats of Dark Parades swatched on a swatch stick. I love how squishy it looks on the stick but somehow, this love did not translate that well onto my actual nails.

I love how painting a fun glitter on top of a dark base can instantly brighten the mani up a bit. Dark nail colours can tend to make a person look more mature but spicing things up with something like Dark Parades can change that! Till next time!

Pahlish Sullen Girl

I ordered some Pahlish a few months ago and Sullen Girl was one of them. I got her on an impulse after seeing swacthes of her on Adventures of a Mad Scientist. Sullen Girl is a clear based polish with charcoal and blue holographic glitters.

This is two coats of Sullen Girl over Zoya Kelly.

Kelly really brings out the bling in Sullen Girl, don't you think?

I was just looking at my older pictures and I realised that my nails are getting so long. It's been about two weeks since I've cut them. They're getting in the way of quite a couple of things, like typing on my phone and writing so I guess I'll be cutting them soon. I'll probably do a couple more swatches before I cut them down. Might as well make full use of my longer "canvas"!

#SGSwatchFest: Femme Fatale Cosmetics Winter Hyacinth

Happy mid-week you guys! Can't believe it's already Wednesday. How time flies when you're busy!

A couple of gals decided that we'd post swatches of Femme Fatale Winter Hyacinth together today so here's my contribution!

Winter Hyacinth was the very first shade from Femme Fatale Cosmetics that caught my eye and when Shoppe Eclecticco announced they were bringing the brand in, I camped in front of my computer and made sure I managed to ninja a bottle for myself!

Here I'm wearing two coats of Winter Hyacinth over Elianto Turquiose on my index, middle and pinkie, and 3 (thicker) coats of Winter Hyacinth by itself on my ring finger.

Winter Hyacinth is a BEAUTIFUL turquoise jelly with fuchsia hex and circular glitters. Some of the hex glitters are also holographic! To add on to that, there are also white hex and diamond glitters. These white glitters are sparser and a tiny bit harder to get on the nails so some fishing and dabbing might be required.

I didn't want to use any more of Winter Hyacinth than required for today's swatches but I do like it much better by itself than layered so the next time I wear this baby, I'm gonna wear it full on Winter Hyacinth!

Yes, I am aware that the pictures are starting to look very alike but I assure they are different. Winter Hyacinth was so gorgeous I couldn't resist taking more shots!

GAHHHH, she's such a beauty!

Here's a close up of Winter Hyacinth layered over a turquoise base polish.

And here's a close up of Winter Hyacinth by itself.

Shoppe Eclecticco recently restocked Femme Fatale Cosmetics on their site and Winter Hyacinth is already Out of stock but you can keep track of restocks on their facebook page so if you haven't gotten you bottle yet, you know what to do! Alternatively, you can also get your bottle from Llarowe during their next restock!

Till next time!

Pahlish End of Days

HAPPY SATURDAY EVERYONE!

When I first started out with my indie addiction (it a full blown addiction now), Pahlish was one of the brands I mass bought off Etsy.

I started out with two coats of OPI Roll In The Hague. I love how saturated RITH is.

This is one coat of End of Days over RITH.

End of Days is a clear based polish that has a subtle orange shimmer to it, along with orange and blue hex glittters.

I wanted to know how more coats of End of Days would look like so here, I have three coats of End of Days on my index, two coats on my middle and one coat on my ring finger, all of them over two coats of OPI Roll In The Hague.

I must say I love End of Days more on both ends of the spectrum, either fully blinged out or with a lighter touch.

Oh, and can I just say what a godsent the PVA glue base coat is?

I'm so much less hesitant to wear glitter polishes now!

Enjoy your weekend! :)

Pretty & Polished Tart

Hey y'all! It's the eve of the Lunar New Year and I hope all of you who are celebrating this special season are ready for the new year! Houses have to be spring cleaned, new clothes have to be bought, food have to be cooked, reunion meals have to be eaten! It's a busy busy period!

I thought I had swatched all my Pretty & Polished babies for you earlier on but apparently I missed one out - Tart!

Tart is probably the polish that started my recent purple craze. Tart is a crelly polish with gold, blue and magenta glitters. Application was easy and its formula was perfect.

This is three coats of Tart and all I can think of is how this looks like a purple easter egg!

I love how Tart doesn't look too diabetes-inducingly sweet.

Purple power! Here's one last picture for the road.

Here's wishing all my lovely readers a wonderful and properous Lunar New Year! May your angpao (red packet) reapings be bountiful as the joy that will fill your houses and families this coming year! :)

Darling Diva Polish Too Schmexxxy

Hope you guys are having a good week so far. If you haven't, it's SATURDAY so it's time to throw up your feet and relax! Today I've got something super Schmexxxy mani to show you!

I started out with two coats of OPI Light My Sapphire, an oldie but goodie. Love how it looks so glowy and shimmery.

Then I added one coat of Darling Diva Polish Too Schmexxxy on top.

Too Schmexxxy is has smorgasbord of glitter - crescents, stars, diamonds, small hexes, large hexes, bar glitters, squares, butterflies and hearts. Phew, that was one long list of glitters!

Even though Too Schmexxxy was on the thick side, it wasn't unmanageable. I didn't even have to fish for any glitter. All I did was to take notice of which glitters were on the brush and make sure that the glitters were evenly placed across my nails. I then used a sort of dabbing method to get the glitters on. Sadly I didn't manage to get any of the crescent glitters on my nails this time.

Apparantly Too Schmexxxy is a dupe for Lynnderella Shape Shifter. I don't own Shape Shifter but from the swatches I've seen, they do look awfully alike, and at only a fraction of the cost!

Here's a bonus close up shot of Too Schmexxxy. You can see all the different crazy holo glitters!

Grab your bottle now from Mei Mei's Signature or Darling Diva Polish before it sells out!
