Multichrome Oil Spill Nails

Hey y'all! I came across this amazing oil spill nails post by Nail Loopy a while back using some ILNP multichrome polish and I could not get it out of my head so I decided to try and recreate the look with some of the multichromes I have.
I used Ozotic 502 and 504, as well as Girly Bits Hiss & Lear for this look. I first painted a black base and when that was completely dry, I used the dry brush method and painted the various multichromes using random strokes. These pictures were taken underwater to bring out the oil spill effect even better!

I love that this look was soooo beyond easy to recreate and the effect was just...WOW. Seriously, you guys got to try this out! :)

Alanna Renee Tranquil

Hey y'all. Sorry for the lack of posts. I've been updating my instagram more frequently but I'm finally getting down to posting here!
This is Alanna Renee Tranquil, the polish I wore for the last #PolishTogether event of 2013. The theme was turquoise and what better polish to wear than this!
I'm wearing three thin coats here with Seche Vite on top just to smoothen out the glitters. Speaking of which, can we talk about the beautiful matte glitters? The teal squares are my favourite part of Tranquil, not to mention how peaceful and serene I feel whenever I look at my nails.

Emily de Molly Hologaphics

I finally decided to take out my Emily de Molly holos to swatch yesterday and I have no idea why it took me this long.

The formula on these were great. I wore three coats in all pictures and there were no streaking, no balding, no need for any aqua base and the holo flames were strong like hell. I can't comment on how long they wear because I swatched them all at once but I would imagine they'd last much longer than the MUS or Layla holos.
Land of Confusion - a green turquoise.

Amazonia - a teal blue that is close to Land of Confusion but definitely leans more blue.

Indigo Flow - a gorgeous well, indigo blue. It's much more holo in real life.

Devotion - a slightly dusty purple.

Living After Midnight - a deep wine red / burgundy.

Ground Control - a chocolate brown that reminds me of OPI My Private Jet.

Love them all and I'm now tempted to get more! I bought my Emily de Mollys from Mei Mei's Signatures, who ships internationally.

Holographic Watercolour Nails

Hey y'all! If you've followed me on Instagram, you'd know that I managed to get some time off the other night (FINALLY!) and decided to spend some time on my nails. I've wanted to try out the watercolour nail trend for a while now but I thought, hey go holo or go home! HA!
So I started out with Color Club Harp On It. This is three thin coats.

I then proceeded to dab a little of all the Halo Hues (minus Harp On It) randomly to create the watercolour effect.

Here's a closer look! This reminds me of Wall's Paddle Pop so much. It's a really cool look!

One last picture for the road because it's just too gorgeous!

Till next time! :)

Girly Bits Hiss & Lear

Hiss & Lear is the latest multi-chrome polish from Girly Bits which shifts from lime green to deep moss, to purple & fuchsia to gold. I was so excited to cart it out and swatch it! I didn't managed to catch the fuchsia and gold bits but the lime green to cyan to purple shift was stunning enough for me!
Jaw-dropping!
This is 2 coats of Hiss & Lear over a black base.

Get your bottle for Mei Mei's Signatures before it sells out!

Glam Polish BA-NA-NA!

HAPPY MID-WEEK!
I painted my nails last Saturday to cheer myself up after an entire week of crazy OT with Glam Polish BA-NA-NA! I absolutely love how happy and cherry the polish is! Actually, I think I'm falling in love with Glam Polish, with all the gorgeous blue, green and neon creations that keep popping up.

This is three thin coats BA-NA-NA!

Lynnderella Witch Cauldron Was It?

I'm cracking open my first Lynnderella with Witch Cauldron Was It? today for the second round of November's #polishtogether. My post last week was one week early so I wanted too do another post.
Witch Couldron Was It? has such beautiful orange hex and bar glitters and as much as it is a Halloween polish, it's still quite a versatile one. I really like it with here with OPI Gouda Gouda Two Shoes. The gold shimmer really does complement the glitter in the Lynnderella.
Gorgeous!

Glitter Gal Citrine

Hey hey!
It's been a while since I participated in #SGSwatchFest / #polishtogether but being that this month is my birth month, I just HAD to! And what better way to usher November in than with a holographic baby!
This is three thin coats of Glitter Gal Citrine.

Love Glitter Gal's fuss free holographic formula. No bald spots, no dragging issues. Just pure holo gorgeousness!

Halloween Nails

Hey guys!
Sorry I haven't been blogging as frequent as I promised. Work has taken over my life once again and my weekends were just spent sleeping or catching up with friends so I haven't been painting my nails as much.
But but but...I have a treat for you today. Or maybe it's a trick? Well, it's the Halloween nail art I did a couple days ago. I really wanted to do some nice nail art cuz I've been slacking off so much. I wanted to see if I could still do some kickass nail art!

I really love the Dia de Muertos skull in particular but all the nail art was pretty simple so that's good!
Till next time!

By the way, in case you haven't noticed, I am now offically on Instagram. Follow me for more updates!

Another (Relatively) Good Girl Haul

I got HARE Polish Star Tropics and Leap Light Year, as well as Polish Revolution Eleganza from Shoppe Ecleticco (now Rainbow Connection). I must tell you, I got the news about the HARE Polish launch during lunch and let me just say that carting out nail polish while trying to maintain a lunch conversation with your colleagues isn't as easy as you think!

I was a really good girl in August and September and I didn't buy any polish at all. This is probably my longest no buy ever. It may have been my polish mojo disappearing, coupled with work taking over my life. It all ended just last week when Mei Mei's Signatures launched the new Glam Polish Fun and Games Collections. I just had to get Twister and along the way, I added a couple of beauties into my cart and then this happened!

As you can see from the bottom row, I'm currently in a neon phase. Yes, I'm so epically late to the party but I don't think the phase will continue. I think I have enough neon babies for the mo'.

Hopefully my good girl pattern will continue on! Have a great weekend!

Nostalgic Lacquer Spam

Firstly, being a music fan, can I just say how cool it was that Nostalgic Lacquer named all the polish in the New Wave Winter colletion after songs!
I bought all three of the white-based ones becuase I was in a specific phase (as I always am! HAHA!)!
Take On Me is has turquoise, orange and purple glitters. This is three thin coats with a coat of Seche Vite over.

This is three thin coats of Karma Chameleon with a coat of Seche Vite over. This one has pink, yellow, blue and green glitters.

This is three thin coats of Rock Me Amadeus with a coat of Seche Vite over. I like this one the best because of the black glitter! Together with the raspberry, blue and purple glitters, this baby is such a stunner. Not to mention the square glitters. You know I was sold on this the moment I saw this.

Have a great rest of the weekend! :)

KBShimmer Band Geek

Hello! Hope your Monday blues have already passed but if they haven't, I have an awesome KBShimmer polish to show you.
This is three thin coats of Band Geek with a coat of Seche Vite over.

I absolutely love the brass tone glitters swimming in a dark, almost black base. This is so not a geeky polish at all!
Hope you guys like it!

Monochrome Madness

Hey y'all! I just got back from Bangkok yesterday and during my trip there, I went a little crazy with all the monochrome clothes there - polka dots, tribal, floral, stripes and everything you can think of!
When it was time to do my mani, there was still some residual monochrome madness so this was what I came up with.

I used China Glaze White On White for the base and Beadstreet S79 for the black details. It didn't quite turn out as neat as I wanted it to be but it's my first nail art in a long time so I'm still pretty pleased with this.
Hope you guys dig the nail art! :)
