Taupe Comparisons

Comparison shots of Chanel Particuliere, OPI You Don't Know Jacques and OPI Over the Taupe (L-R in the picture below)!

With flash

This is probably the most accurate depiction of the 3 colours! From L-R: Over the Taupe, You Don't Know Jacques and Particuliere. This was taken under a lamp.

Again, taken under a lamp but with the flash, so you can see them from all sorts of lighting!

The following 2 shots were taken in sunlight.

Now, a lot of people are saying Over the Taupe is a dupe for Particuliere. Here are some pictures for you to decide for yourself! With flash (below).

I managed to swatch on Etude House's said dupe and here it is, top to bottom: Over the Taupe, You Don't Know Jacques, Etude House Brown, Particuliere.

Top: You Don't Know Jacques, Bottom: Etude House Brown

Top: Particuliere, Bottom: Etude House Brown

Right off the ball, the Etude House Brown wasn't a complete dupe for any of the 3 taupes. It was close to YDKJ but still, it was visibly different. It was from the $5.90 range and the bottle ain't exactly big so I'd still rather get YDKJ. Comparing it with Particuliere, I think it was closer to Particuliere than Over the Taupe was!

My nails after 3 days of wear. Ironically, Particuliere experienced the most tip wear even though it costs the most. I wore 3 thin coats of each colour without any base or top coat, FYI.

I don't have Essie Mink Muff (which is also said to be a close dupe) but I do have Essie Hot Coco but I didn't have it at the time I took these pictures! I'll post up the pictures I took of it with YDKJ and OTT soon but Particuliere wasn't inside.
