Scofflaw Cloud Cuckoo Land and Whiskey Tango Foxtrot

Hey guys! Yet another week has passed and this week, I have two Scofflaw polishes to show you. I got these quite a while back from Shoppe Eclecticco (now known as Rainbow Connection) and I swatched them quite a while back but only got to the editing recently.

This first one is three thin coats of Cloud Cuckoo Land with a coat of Seche Vite over. I wasn't expecting Cloud Cuckoo Land to be much more creme than jelly because I've seen/read some swatches and description in which this baby had such a gorgeous jelly base.

Cloud Cuckoo Land kind of reminds me of Femme Fatale Cosmetics Sparkleshell, except without the periwinkle glitter and a whiter base.
This next one is three coats of Whiskey Tango Foxtrot with a coat of Seche Vite over. It had such a wonderful formula. This one had the jelly consistentcy I was hoping for with Cloud Cuckoo Land.

And by the way, did you notice what Scofflaw just did there? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? HAHA! Good one there! ;)
Hope you all have a good weekend!

Girly Bits Twitterpated

I got Girly Bits Twitterpated a couple months ago but only decided to take it for a spin recently. Twitterpated is a beautiful lavender holographic shade with a subtle pink shimmer.
This is three coats of Twitterpated and you can see the shimmer in this picture below. The shimmer does give it that extra oomph and also a sweet, delicate touch.

Here you can see the holo rainbows better but I swear, it is much more holo in real life!

Purple holos never fail to make my knees weak. <3

Different Ways To Wear Multichrome Polish

Hey y'all! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
I tried out the dry brush method the other day with my oil spill nails and that inspired me to come up with a post on some different ways to wear multichrome polish, besides the usual few coats over black.
In this post, I used Ozotic 502, 504 and 505, as well as Girly Bits Cosmetics Hiss & Lear over black and these are just a few more creative ways to wear multichromes. I took some shots underwater too, to bring out the full effect of the colour shifts so as a general guideline, the pictures with black backgrounds are shots taken on dry land and the pictures with the white backgrounds were taken underwater.
Here's a shot with the four designs I decided to recreate - the braid, the tribal, the dry brush and the fan brush. I've included links to the various tutorials I referred to so you guys can join in the fun too!

I took so pictures designs from different angles so that you can see the colour shifts. Here, they're all on the warm side and as we go down, the colours will shift towards a cooler spectrum.

Here are some underwater shots. Gosh, I just love how water brings out so much more of the chrome shifts!

Now for some close up shots. This first one is the braid. It's relatively simple to do but here's a good tutorial I found.

This next one is the tribal. I had higher expectations for this design but it seems the chromes do not really shift as much. It did look pretty rad still. Here's a link to the tribal tutorial I used.

Here's the dry brush. This one is similar to the oil spill look and my suggestion is to leave sufficient black space in the background so you can still see the different polish used. You can experiment with longer/shorter brush strokes depending on your nail length.

This last one is the fan brush. SimpleNailArtDesigns has a really good video tutorial that you can watch and this was a really simple and fun look. It reminds me of dragons beard, a type of candy we get here in Singapore!

I also tried out the same technique with a vertical pattern instead of a horizontal one and the colour shift is more evident though I still think the horizontal pattern looks nicer.

So there you go - four new ways to wear your multichromes. They're super simple to do and they're such a great way to spice up your manicure! Drop me a comment if you have any other ideas/suggestions on more ways to play with multichromes! Till next time! (:
