Holo Month Day 31: Nfu Oh #66

This is my last Holo Month and Holothon post. I can't believe it all went by so quickly!

This is Nfu Oh #66, a pale green holographic polish that will blow your socks off!

I have no idea why the recent Nfu Oh duds seem pretty stud-y to me but hey, I'm not complaining!

Application was easy with an aqua base and I only needed two coats for opaqueness!

Even though Holo Month and Holothon is over, I still have a couple of holographic polishes to show you all so keep your eyes peeled for them! I'm also considering doing a 31 Day Indie Challenge, considering how I'm been in an indie glitter phase. Anyone interested in joining me? :)

Holo Month Day 30: Nfu Oh #64

Nfu Oh #64 is a light lilac holographic shade that was love at first brushstroke!

As mentioned in my post on Nfu Oh #63, even though this is one of the newer batches of the Nfu Oh holos, it seems much more holographic compared to my dud version of #61 which I got from Fabulousstreet last year.

It may not be as holo as the original batch but I'm not complaining with such an amazing holo effect! <3

This was two coats of #64 over a coat of Nfu Oh Aqua Base. I noticed that it's really important to make sure the Aqua Base is 100% dry before painting on the polish. It makes a world of a difference because once, I was a little impatient and started painting my holo polish before the aqua base was dry and I got an extremely patchy paint job and the polish didn't turn out as holo.

Wait a couple of minutes and viola, the polish practically painted itself on and the holo effect was blinding!

Here's Nfu Oh #64 on top and #63 below. You can see that #64 is slightly darker and is more purple than the pink-toned #63.

Gosh, just look at the holo rainbow arcs on those two nails!!!! *Melts* How am I suppose to help my nail polish addiction when all the polishes are so pretty?! OH MAN....

Holo Month Day 29: Nfu Oh #63

Nfu Oh #63 is a light pink linear holographic polish that I'm pretty sure is the dud version BUT it is still extremely holographic. Even more so than the dud versions of #61 and #62 that I've shown you previously.
This was just ONE coat of Nfu Oh #63 over Nfu Oh Aqua Base.

I can't get over how opaque and holo just one coat of #63 was! There were pretty little bald spots too.
Here's two coats, taken under my table lamp. The bald spots are completely no where to be seen! I'm really liking the Nfu oh Aqua Base!!!

KAPOW! Blinding holo rainbows specially for you!

Till my next post! :)

Holo Month Day 28: Nfu Oh #62

Moving down the Nfu Oh road, today I have Nfu Oh #62 for you for today's Holo Month / Holothon post!

#62 was supposed to be nude holo but as they changed the batches, it got a little more pink. This is three coats.

It's still so pretty!!!!!!

It's still so holo and it is still nude enough for work!

GAHHHH. I can't explain why I'm so in love with holo polishes. I just can't.

I'm letting the pictures do the talking because I have nothing else to say. I'm speechless!

Till the next post! :)

Holo Month Day 27: Nfu Oh #61

I realised I haven't shown you guys a proper swatch of Nfu Oh #61 so hereeeeee you go!

I heard that you can also use a matte top coat as a base coat for these Nfu Oh holos but I decided to try NailTek Foundation II instead. Granted it is a base coat but it does dry matte so I thought the effect would be the same.

This is one coat of #61 over the no base cat (pinkie), Nfu Oh Aqua Base (ring and index) and Nail Tek Foundation II (middle).

As you can see, with the Aqua Base, #61 applied SOOOOOO MUCH BETTER and already looks more opaque and holo. The matte base coat didn't work as well as I had hoped though.

And on goes more goes to make #61 opaque...

TADAH! Holo fest!

Sadly, this is the dud batch and it isn't as holo as it used to be. Still, it's holo enough to make this holo addict squee! I just wish I got on the holo bandwagon a little earlier. :(

But it's okay, my FNUG holos are enough to satisfy my holo lusts when I need a crazy pow wow holo. Other than that, #61's a great subtler holo! :D

Holo Month Day 26: FNUG Holographics

For today's Holothon and Holo Month post, I'm extremely eggcited to be showing you the three FNUG holographic polishes!

Warning: Viewing the three shades may cause blindness. Please put on your shades first.

First up is the hyped-up Psychedelic. There were pictures floating around way before it was available to me (I'll tell you where to get these FNUGs later on) showing Psychedelic to be more holographic than Chanel Holographic and the moment I saw them, my heart skipped a couple of beats. That's when I know I ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE a polish!

HOLY BANANAS.

POW WOW! Psychedelic is CRAZY HOLO but wait for it....

Wait for it.....

BOOM! DOUBLE HOLO RAINBOWS!

Being the slave that I am to holographic polishes, I had to have Futuristca too.

Futuristica doesn't fall short of expectations, especially after Psychedelic set a pretty high bar.

I hope you listened to the warning to put on your shades!

Again, I managed to capture some double rainbow arcs with Futuristica! :DD

The last of the three FNUG holos is Fantastica and it is FANTASTIC!

Fantastic is a pale green holo that will take your breath away.

YES, MORE DOUBLE HOLOGRAPHIC RAINBOW ARCS!

In case you can't already tell, I AM A HUGE FAN OF THESE FNUG HOLOGRAPHIC POLISHES. I'm praying FNUG makes more holo shades because I WILL buy them all.

Application was easy with an aqua base. You know how with some holo polishes, you can't paint over the same spot twice? With these FNUGs, you can paint like you were painting any other polish. I especially love this about them. Wear time was also pretty decent. I had Futuristica on for a couple of hours and I even did the dishes, and I didn't even see a single chip. Compare this to some holos that can chip while you are sleeping and you know that with a good top coat, these babies will last!

I couldn't resist putting all the double holo arcs pictures together!

As promised, you can get these FNUG holographics from Shoppe Eclecticco. They are on a pre-order status but these definitely are worth the wait!

Holo Month Day 25: Jade Seducao Rosa

Today, for...

...I have the last of the Jade Holografico polishes I recently purchased form Shoppe Eclecticco to show you. Jade Seducao Rosa is a bright, rosy pink shade that packs that usual holographic punch I've come to expect of the Jade Holografico polishes.

Seducao Rosa is less opaque than Vermelho Surreal, which I showed you yesterday. I used three thin coats of Seducao Rosa in all my pictures.

This is actually one of the rare brighter pink shades you'll find in my collection because I don't think I can pull off the bright pink look. It just isn't me.

As always, I usually google swatches of a polish before deciding to buy it and I must warn you, most of the online swatches you'll see of Seducao Rosa are rather deceiving. Because of that, I thought Seducao Rosa would be a pinkish-copper shade so imagine my surprise when I saw this bright pink polish after unwrapping the bubble wrap. I think the promo picture that Jade released is pretty colour accurate.

The moment I ordered Seducao Rosa, I already knew I wanted to compare it to Ozotic 522 and I had thought they'd be close because well, I had expected Seducao Rosa to be less pink.

This is three coats of both polish.

As you can see, Ozotic 522 is a few shades darker and redder than Seducao Rosa. For that reason alone, if I had to, between the two, I'd pick 522.

I don't know, I just don't see myself being able to pull off Seducao Rosa. I'm not saying it's not a nice polish, because it is, it was really nice to apply and I've come to love the Jade brushes. Sadly, it just isn't very "me" but for those looking for a nice, bright office-friendly pink holographic, this would be a good choice!
