Nail Pattern Boldness Bitches Brew

HAPPY HALLOWEEN POLISHED PEEPS!

Today I have Nail Pattern Boldness Bitches Brew to show you guy but before we go there, I thought it'd be great to try out the whole PVA glue base coat trend. Yesyes, I'm late to the party. Very late actually but hey, better late than never right?

What I did was to squeeze a decent amount of PVA glue into an empty bottle and then thin it out with water until I liked the consistency. For me, that was when the glue was easy to paint and it was like the consistency of a slightly thickened Seche Vite. So on goes a coat of my new Glitter Base Coat and this is what it looks like at first.

Don't panic, just wait patiently. I was watching New Girl so the ten minutes I waited for the PVA glue base coat to fully dry went by quickly. When fully dried, your PVA glue base coat should appear clear, like another other regular base coat.

Then on went two coats of OPI Siberian Nights. I wanted to layer Bitches Brew over something dark but black was a little too been-there-done-that for me so I chose a dark and mysterious eggplant shade. Very fitting for the whole Halloween theme huh? :)

Now, back to the star of the show, Bitches Brew is from NPB's Halloween Collection and it is packed with some awesome orange, gold, purple and blue multi-sized hex and square glitters. This was one coat of Bitches Brew over Siberian Nights.

I love how NPB has managed to make Bitches Brew so packed with glitter and yet, not goopy at all. I must admit, I needed to do a little dotting to get the glitters to spread out evenly across my nails but even so, Bitches Brew applied so well.

Of course I just had to top the whole look off with some matte top coat from Etude House and that made everything even cooler.

I just love how ironic it is that a matte top coat can make glitters "shine" even more.

This is what Bitches Brew looks like with a top coat on. I used one coat of SV and viola, that was it. Bitches Brew wasn't a diva and didn't eat my top coat so one coat was more than enough.

And then it was time to scrape my polish off. I was quite hesitant to do so because Bitches Brew was soooo pretty but I can't wear such polish to my conservative work place so I grabbed my orange stick and this happened...

So yes, the PVA glue base coat works WONDERS! No more having to soak my nails in acetone and wrap 'em up with foil! Easy peasy removal in under two minutes and the best part was that the removal process was actually kinda fun.

Hope you'll have a wicked Halloween!

And yes, PVA is the most wonderful thing I've discovered this year. I've been on a mad glitter spree since then ;)
